TERMS AND CONDITION OF USE.
Please note that any use of ARRITER TUITION AGENCY service means that you acknowledge and agree to abide by these cancellation terms and conditions.
Parent or Student -Initiated Cancellation Terms and Conditions 1. All cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. • This policy safeguards tutors against wasted preparation time, unnecessary travel, and potential loss of income from other clients. 2. Penalty Structure for Late Cancellations • First Occurrence: Penalty waived as a gesture of goodwill. • Second Occurrence: A 50% charge of the lesson fee will apply. • Third Occurrence: A 100% charge of the lesson fee will apply. • Subsequent Occurrences: Services will be terminated, and the record of repeated late cancellations will be noted in the agency’s system. 3. Rationale and Fairness • Parents are valued clients, and tutors are dedicated service providers. This policy ensures that both parties are treated with fairness and respect. • While parents may incur inconvenience from cancellations, the structured penalties and replacement lessons balance accountability without imposing unreasonable financial burdens on either side. This structure is consistent with common practices in tuition centres and enrichment institutions, ensuring fairness and respect for tutors’ professional commitments.
Tutor-Initiated Cancellation Terms and Conditions 1. Notice of Cancellation • Tutors must provide at least 12 hours’ notice if they are unable to conduct scheduled lesson. • This ensures parents and students are informed in advance and can adjust their schedules accordingly. 2. Unforeseen Circumstances • In the event of last-minute unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergencies), tutors may cancel without prior notice. • Such cancellations must be communicated to parents immediately, with transparency and professionalism. 3. Replacement of Lessons • Tutors are required to replace any cancelled lesson by rescheduling at a mutually convenient time. • Replacement lessons must be coordinated directly with parents to ensure minimal disruption to the student’s learning progress. • Monetary compensation is not applicable, as tutors are service providers; the replacement lesson serves as the fair resolution. 4. Professional Responsibility • Tutors are expected to maintain reliability and consistency in their teaching commitments. • Repeated cancellations, even with replacement lessons, may be reviewed by the agency to ensure service quality and accountability. 5. Rationale and Fairness • This policy balances fairness between parents and tutors: parents are assured that lessons will not be lost, while tutors are protected from undue financial penalties in genuine emergencies. • The emphasis is on maintaining continuity of learning and fostering trust between tutors, parents, and students.
